Maniwaki is a rustic accommodation on Helve Lake that provides privacy and the joys of nature.  Excellent trout fishing will keep your frying pan full and provide you and your companions with stories for years to come.  Maniwaki Fish Camp contains eight bunks, one bathroom, equipped kitchen facilities and a living/dining area with a wood stove. You will need to bring your sleeping bags, fishing tackle, food, beverages, toiletries and towels.

$130/person/night with fishing, $70/person/night without fishing (minimum occupancy 4) $1400/week plus additional $60/person/day of fishing

Sleeps: 8 people

  • 2 bedrooms
    • each have a bunk with a double on the bottom and a twin on the top as well as a twin bunk
  • No electricity
  • Propane fridge, and stove
  • Solar powered lights
  • Hand water pump at the sink (in summer)
  • Washroom with a gravity flush toilet
  • No oven
  • BBQ (propane included)
  • Lake is stocked with speckled trout
  • Able to fish year round
  • Road leading to the cottage requires 4-wheel drive vehicles in winter
  • Firewood is sold at our main office for $10 a bag (please place your payment in the box on the shed).  We do not permit firewood from outside the property (by provincial regulation)–but there is abundant natural firewood around for collection and campers are permitted to forage for wood!

Helve Lodge is for those who enjoy more rustic accommodations in the wilderness, away from the Reserve’s other facilities.  Life on Helve Lake is particularly appealing to those who seek privacy and the joys of nature. Excellent bass and trout fishing will keep you busy year round.  Helve Fish Camp contains two bedrooms, each with four bunks, a bathroom, equipped kitchen facilities and a living/dining area with a wood stove. You will need to bring your sleeping bags, fishing tackle, food, beverages, toiletries and towels.

Burns Lake is a basic family cottage, also suitable for fishing is in the southern section of the Reserve, well away from hiking trails and other visitors. It is the only cottage on this secluded lake. Moose and other animals are often seen to pass by.  The cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps seven adults. It has one bathroom, an equipped kitchen and a living/dining area with a fire place.  You will need to bring your sleeping bags, fishing tackle, food, beverages, toiletries and towels.

$115/person/night with fishing, $50/person/night without fishing (minimum occupancy 4) $1250/week plus additional $40/person/day of fishing

Sleeps: 7 people

  • Two bedrooms
    • One with a twin bunk and a twin bed
    • one with 2 twin bunks.
  • No electricity
  • Propane lights, fridge, and stove
  • Hand water pump at the sink
  • Washroom with a gravity flush toilet
  • Stove has 2 elements and a large grill pan
  • No oven
  • BBQ (propane included)

Long Lake is a basic family cottage, also suitable for bass fishing is in the southern section of the Reserve, well away from other visitors. The crystal falls are only a short canoe trip away.  The cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps ten adults. It has one bathroom, an equipped kitchen and a living/dining area with a wood stove.  You will need to bring your sleeping bags, fishing tackle, food, beverages, toiletries and towels.

$50/person/night (minimum occupancy 4) $1250/week

Sleeps: 10 people

  • Three bedrooms
    • One has a twin bunk
    • the other two each have two twin bunks.
  • No electricity
  • Propane lights, fridge, and stove
  • Hand water pump at the sink
  • Washroom with a gravity flush toilet
  • Stove has 4 elements

  • Lake is not stocked with fish
