Limberlost Forest surrounds the J. Albert Bauer Provincial Park and is a short driving distance to Arrowhead and Algonquin Provincial Parks.
We offer two lakefront lodges and five cottages surrounded by extensive woodland trails and sandy beaches. There are also three rustic outposts on private lakes and fifty-two campsites.
Each of our rental properties is available as a complete unit and can be reserved weekly, during the week or for weekends.

Lodges:
The Solitaire and Buck lodges are our largest accommodations coming in at 3 stories total, featuring spacious and fully furnished interiors, plenty of outdoor seating, and even a sauna!
Buck Lake Lodge
Lakeside rustic elegance for 7 to 16 guests. Features 7 bedrooms in total with 2 full bathrooms, and a sauna. Privately nestled on the western shore of Buck Lake.
Solitaire Lodge
Spacious accommodation filled with character and charm for 7 to 18 guests. Our largest rental available, it has 7 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and a sauna. Rich in history, originally built in 1929 by Limberlost’s founders, it has continued to be updated throughout the years while still retaining the history and feel of the lodge.

Cottages:
We have a wide variety of different bungalow-style cottages to fit the needs and tastes of every group. All located on Lake Solitaire.
River’s Bay
Comfortable accommodations for 5 to 9 guests. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms – one of which features a luxury jacuzzi.

Spacious accommodations for 5 to 13 guests with a large open concept living/dining area. There are 5 bedrooms plus a bunkie, 2 full bathrooms and an expansive yard for outdoor activities!

One of our most popular cottages, Amron accommodates 3 to 6 guests. It features 2 full bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, a private beach and a screened in gazebo.

Water’s Edge
Cozy and charming accommodations for 2 to 8 guests. There are two bedrooms and a full bathroom in the cottage and a separate bunkie . As the name implies, this cottage is placed right on the eastern rocky shore of Solitaire Lake.

Owl’s Nest
A unique offering, there are two separate cottages on the same site. For smaller groups, Owl’s Nest 1 may be booked on its own or both cottages can be booked for larger groups.
Owl’s Nest #1 sleeps up to 6 guests and Owl’s Nest 2 sleeps up to 10 guests. Each cottage has a full bathroom.
Outposts:
We have three Outpost cabins available for rent for those guests looking for a more remote getaway. Outposts have propane fueled stoves, solar refrigerators, and have solar powered lights. There is no electricity, water in the cabins must be hand-pumped. A tap with filtered drinking water is available outside the main office to refill your water containers.
Note: Outposts are available from Victoria Day weekend to Thanksgiving weekend & require an all-wheel drive vehicle to access.

Camping:
We offer camping year-round at Limberlost. All of our sites are private, deep in the forest & set back from the water. We have:
- Traditional campsites equipped with fire pit, picnic bench, private outhouse and nearby parking.
- Campsites with all of the above but with raised wooden tent platforms to insulate from the ground and keep you dry.
- Sites with newly built 10′ x 10′ cabins – some of which feature propane heating. Cabins are bare except for a door and window, you are still required to bring all bedding materials that would be required for traditional camping.
